I was wondering if you have consider my resume. I haven't received anything from you. In any case, I would be glad to hear from you. Especially during this period of multiple interviews, I want to know if I would have a chance to work for Marvell. After all, Marvell is one of my favorite companies. -Bill 15. Hi Justin, You interviewed me last month, unfortunately, I am not going to be working with you. I wonder if there is anything particular about my interview that didn't make me the right fit for the Logic Design Engineer position? I am writing to see if there is anything I can improve, so I will have a chance to work for Marvell in the future. Also, if you know of any openings, please forword my resume along. After all, Marvell is one of my favorite companies. I have attached my resume with this email. Thanks, Bill 16. Job Application: Resume - Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (GPA 3.82) graduating on August 18th, 2006 Dear Hiring Manager: I was referred by my friend who is currently working for Intersil, who believed I have the required skills for the Design Engineer position (2538). I would be graduating from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (GPA 3.82) on August 18th, 2006. Please take a look at my resume. Intersil is the leader in High Performance Analog Semiconductors. It would be an honor to work at Intersil. I am looking forward to interview opportunities from Intersil. Yours Sincerely, Bill Hung 18. Job Application: Resume - Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (GPA 3.82) Dear Hiring Manager of National Semiconductor: I am writing for the internship position for Test Engineer (Job ID 6033325). I am available immediately, and have the required qualifications stated for the position. 1. Digital Design, 2.CMOS Technology, 3.Design Verification, 4. Verilog Simulation. I used Verilog for my Component and Digital Design class (CS 150), and earned the maximum project scores. I was able to use the Xilinx FPGA board to design various verilog circuits. One of the FPGA functions involve receiving data from the Ethernet, and output the data to the AC97 Audio Chip and a text-based LCD with a Hitachi chip. In the projects, we used Xilinx Vertex 2000-E board, Xilinx Project Navigator, Synplicity Synplify (Synthesis), Modelsim (Simulation), and ChipScope (On-board debugging). In the Design IC Design class (EE 141), I used Cadence tools for a SRAM Memory Controller Circuit Design and Layout. The design was down from the sizing of individual MOSFETs to integration of individual controller circuits. The testing of the SRAM Memory Controller was done exclusively in HSPICE. Besides, I have additional experience with Assembly language programming (MIPS), and some knowledge about architectural difference between X86 and PowerPC memory allocation systems. As a regular Mac user, I am familiar with UNIX commands and writing shell scripts for batch operations. I have programmed web-based applications with PHP, which is very similar to Perl. Besides, my Electrical Engineering classes prepared me with strong CMOS background. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Yours Sincerely, Bill Hung 19. Dear Hiring Manager of National Semiconductor: I am writing for the internship position for Test Engineer (Job ID 5180910). I am available immediately, and have the required qualifications stated for the position: "Organizes assignments and schedules time to complete various assigned tasks by a supervisor or a senior engineer within an established timeline. Communicates with others to solve routine problems and expresses ideas in a group setting. *Minimum educational requirements are: Currently enrolled in college program with emphasis on electrical engineering." This is a direct quote from my Berkeley research supervisor, Gang Liu, who wrote me a wonderful recommendation letter and eventually led me to a full scholarship to Japan. " Mr. Hung is an intelligent undergraduate student with outstanding learning ability. His project is devising an optical imaging system as well as the control software. He picked up the complete idea and required skills very quickly. He learned how to set up the optical apparatus and use a certain computer language in two weeks. Mr. Hung is a well-motivated and self-disciplined student. He set a clear daily working schedule and followed it very strictly. He was passionate about the project and worked very efficiently." I believe I can organize assignments and schedule time to complete various assigned tasks by a supervisor or a senior engineer within an established timeline. I enjoy communicating with different people, both more technical-minded or people who are less technical (like my mom). I would be a good fit between customers and internal engineers. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Yours Sincerely, Bill Hung 20.
